VOTN Relaunch

Hello and welcome back to Vinyl on the Net – firstly – yes we are taking orders – we’re just waiting for the Web guru’s to remove the banner! The site is fully functional.
Secondly – I guess some of you have been wondering what has been going on and why the site hasn’t been taking orders for a couple of months. Unfortunately its founder John Esplen sadly lost his battle to cancer in the middle of November. John was a fantastic guy & it was an honour to know him – it is a measure of the man that much has been said about him after his untimely passing and all of it has been positive. When it became apparent John had taken a turn for the worse he reached out to see if I was interested in taking over the site – as you can see the answer was yes – So I guess it’s time for a brief introduction to VOTN new custodians . There’s myself – Paul North and the guy who’ll carry most of the load day to day – Stu Decay . We have been selling records / making / slinging merch / touring / driving / moaning etc etc for as long as we can remember ! Its not likely to change ! The site will essentially remain the same and ordering procedures likewise. Please bear with us as we take over the site and learn it’s idiosyncrasies, we’ve relocated and catalogued over 12000 items, which has taken some time! Along with the usual news page we are setting up instagram and facebook as other outlets for updates on social media Also come and say hi to us a various records fairs around Lancashire , Yorkshire , Cumbria and Cheshire – where we hope we can also allow you to collect orders – cutting down on postage costs – we will post where we are going to be – along with a lead time – if we’re at a fair on a saturday, don’t order 9pm friday night and hope the items will magic their way to the fair – give us a bit of a lead in!

In the meantime We will endeavour to keep this site going in the same manner and with the same great selection of records and memorabilia as was Johns wish.

We’ve updated 230 new titles to the site – some John had entered but not set to live and some we’ve entered since – there may be some teething problems here with items we’ve uploaded having been sold before we took over – but we’re 99% sure we’ve caught them all!
