Tommy Ramone dies

This really is the end of an era, Tommy Ramone, the last surving member of the orginal Ramones line-up has died of cancer aged 62.

Of  The Ramones Tommy said  ‘It wasn’t just music in the Ramones: it was an idea. It was bringing back a whole feel that was missing in rock music – it was a whole push outwards to say something new and different.
