Sex Pistols foreign pressings albums and picture discs
A Sex Pistols collection has been acquired and items from it have been recently added to the database, with the focus being on albums.
The first batch included various pressings of The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle including the very first UK pressing with Whatcha Gonna Do About It, a Brazilian pressing, the first French pressing and a very mysterious UK pressing that looks like it’s from the early 80s and bizarrely isn’t listed on Discogs.
So what makes this one different? Sleeve has no text on rear, no barcode, red writing on spine and is very unusually laminated! 22 tracks listed on inside in two columns. Matrix numbers are A4/B11/C2/D2. Disc one Townhouse, disc two A Porky Prime Cut. Pressing is slightly thinner vinyl so I’d guess early 80s, before OVED numbers took over.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Also added are some pressings of Some Product including a nice Australian one on the Wizard label and the New Zealand pressing with the Pay No More Than $5.99 banner printed on the sleeve, plus various European pressings.
There’s some other collectable items such as the Never Mind The Bollocks picture from 1978, the Never Trust A Hippy and Anarchy In The UK Live picture discs each limited to 2000 and the 2016 USA Record Store Day picture of Never Mind The Bollocks featuring the USA artwork for the album, which I always thought nicer than the UK.
